This came about as an exploration into some odd banding when playing back video content using ProPresenter. There are some notable differences in the black to the white ramp, and this is somewhat concerning. There was also some noticeable ringing on the edge of pulses when displayed through ProPresenter. Curiously, the Blackmagic Media Express tool does not exhibit this same behavior which leads me to believe the issue to be constrained to an application.
I’m still exploring the real-world implications of this, but an interesting discrepancy nevertheless.
